After serving Lucy Daniels Center for 6 years in key leadership roles, Dr. Emily Odjaghian became the Clinical/Executive Director in 2022, continuing to honor the organization’s legacy of therapeutic education with on-site wrap-around clinical services that are grounded in psychoanalytic clinical approaches.

A licensed psychologist, Dr. Odjaghian first joined the Lucy Daniels Center in 2016 as a therapist in the Farley-Manning Family Guidance Service (FGS). She holds a certification as a Circle of Security Parent Fidelity Coach and offers Fidelity Coaching to facilitators of the 8 week parenting curriculum as part of a LDC outreach program generously funded by the Psychoanalytic Center of the Carolinas. Additionally, Dr. Odjaghian has been the Team Lead for SecurePath, the Lucy Daniels Center’s outreach program for in-home therapeutic services for children in Wake County who meet greatest need. Prior to the Lucy Daniels Center, Dr. Odjaghian worked as a clinician in the San Francisco Bay Area offering child, parent, and family therapy to marginalized/underserved communities. Her areas of special interest and expertise are childhood trauma, attachment difficulties, adoption, anxiety, and depression. Dr. Odjaghian is grateful for the opportunity to support and guide the programs and essential services the Lucy Daniels Center offers to the children and families of the Triangle community and beyond.
