Jen is a clinical social worker with a passion for helping children and families heal through play. In the playroom she provides a safe, affirming, and attuned space for children to explore their inner worlds and to process through their experiences. Jen is intentional about meeting each child and family where they are, and forming collaborative relationships that foster growth and emotional development. Jen’s areas of interest and expertise include neurodiversity, trauma, attachment, and behavioral challenges.
Jen joined the Lucy Daniels Center team in 2025. She is currently receiving professional training in Child Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. Jen has a Masters in Social Work from UNC Chapel Hill, has worked with children in residential mental health treatment, and has over 10 years of experience working with young children.
