Behind the Scenes
Engage in our mission by working behind the scenes and help our programs with everyday tasks that make a big difference. Stuff envelopes, organize files, help us create holiday baskets for outreach, update contact lists. Your support means everything to us! On-site and virtual options are available.
Teaching and Healing Garden
Lucy Daniels School Teaching and Healing Garden is both an outdoor classroom and a horticultural therapy
site for children and their families who are being served through one of the Center’s mental and emotional
health programs. Our goal is to use gardening and nature-related activities as a way to work on treatment
goals related to self-esteem, personal responsibility, personal achievement, motivation, socialization, self-expression,
relaxation, and sensory stimulation. Volunteers are needed to help with garden cleanup, regular maintenance, garden event planning, seasonal planting, and more. This is a great way to work outside and contribute in a meaningful way. On-site, outdoor volunteer opportunity.
Help us keep our Lucy Daniels School library running smoothly by volunteering to shelve books and keep the library organized and maintained. On-site, after school hours.
Support marketing campaign planning and execution: Write copy for social media posts, promotional emails, and other marketing collateral. Assist in the creation of written, video, and image content for marketing channels, help build and maintain mailing lists. Participate in marketing brainstorming sessions.
Please note: All staff members at Lucy Daniels Center are fully vaccinated. All on-site volunteers must be fully vaccinated and willing to show proof of Covid-19 vaccine.
